no joke i knew this man before he was famous. i'm from birmingham and about 12 years ago when i was 8 and my brother 7 (ish) us two and my mum were friends with him and we used to go to his flat in birmingham. i remember he was poor and he used to scare us because he could do a really good robot dance! but what i remember these incredibe sculptures. we were all completely amazed! and now i have found out that he has earnt a huge amout of money and i'm so happy for the guy.

I lived about 3 miles from haigh hall at the time of the gig, it took us ages to get there.. it was an amazing day... and I was treated to an extra does when I got home the gig was on bbc2 (i think it was on around 11pm that night). i lived in whelley from birth to 1988 and moved on. the place as changed somewhat. Whenever I come back it feels very sad and not what it was. Can't wait to get away from the place when i come back. Im not dissing wigan but I don't like what it as become. too many skegs and scallies, druggies and immigrants. maybe it's just nostalgia but I recall rumbelows record shop - mooching around for 7''. I recall when the Pier was great as opposed to the sh*thole it is now.
