For automotive/aerospace I prefer Catia V4 (that's right - OLD non-parametric Catia) as I've always found V5 awkward and non-intuitive. In its day (yearr 2000) Pro/E was the best parametric system - not any more but it still has some great features that the others haven't got - regen to tolerance limits stands out.

Actually, basic versions are more in the 15 000$/year range. A full version with all modules, including class A surfaces, FEA, enovia, etc. is about 120 000$/year. CATIA is mostly used by car and airplane manufactuerrs. I would suggest SolidWorks for less experienced (or rich) people.

Popularity isn't saying anything about the qualities of a software. Windows is the most widespread OS despite being one of the worst. Popularity has a lot of factors and thus can't always be easily explained. Another example is mp3. It is quite old, burdened with proprietary parts and doesn't deliver the best quality for the byte, yet it is still the most popular music format in use, despite better codecs are around that are really free.

Not really, all the mods really do is add defferent vehicles, weapons and other stuff like that. Another thing is that people keep whining about it being easy. They do have an expert mode, they do need to put an easy and medium mode for people who aren't as good as others so everybody can enjoy it, not just the best of the best.

IMHO , EA shouldn't even make games , they shall make only the engines and leave the rest for the poeople who really know what a Bettlefield means .That's why the MOD's are more much better than the normal BF , and that's why BF really sucks. Ripsaw are not for kids anyway wyrdmagyk. I guess they could have installed a less expensive motor in it for more normal use, but it was part of a competition and needed to have show-off.

I agree, Saddam was the Iraqi people's problem. But, I dont believe it can be considered "very ordered" When there was a somewhat organized resistance in Nazi Germany. Perhaps I would call it "mostly orderly". The German resistance to Hitler led to the imprissonment of millions (not all dissident), and execution of thousands for "resistance" of various forms. The problem I have with that is what led up to the invasion. Why were UN Weapon inspectors constantly turned away, or not permitted in certain areas? So the UN and the US say, we just want to see whats going on, and he would defy both repeatedly. What was he hiding? Even after the ultimatums were issued, he continued to refuse simple inspections from the UN. What were we supposed to do? Issue another "harshly worded" letter? Haha.
