Last week was a life changing experience for me. My friends and I had decided to hunt wild pigs. I had a bad feeling but went along with it. We found a group of them and opened fire. After shooting 3 adults and stomping on their babies to feed to the dogs, I decided to go vegan. When the meat in my freezer runs out I won't shoot anymore animals this year.

mcdonalds dont count, not even real meat =]
By: Two11two. on 19 Nov 08, 17:18:52
If God didnt want us to eat animals, He shouldn't have made them out of meat.
By: SabrinaSilverstien. on 17 Nov 08, 08:31:55
That's right , I'm into body biulding and could use somwe good protien recipes if you've got them!
By: CaliforniaDreaming13. on 16 Nov 08, 20:56:59
Exactly. It actually wasn't until after the flood that God gave animals as food. We're originally designed to not eat meat. I can avoid it, so I do. I mean, I'm an athlete who's building muscle every day, and I don't even need protien supplements. You are what you eat: and I'm no cow. =)

Yawn at everyone arguing. I've been a vegetarin since I was born and I'm so glad that I have been (:
By: VEGGx33. on 15 Nov 08, 17:34:58
god didn't want us to eat meat. in the bible it says i give you every fruit bearing seed and that will be yours for food. animals eat meat because they don't know better. we do, we can think and talk. they can't. we are so much healthier without meat.

donisthabomb1: It is not an "eat or be eaten" world. Some countries yes, but I don't suppose that you live in a hut surrounded by tigers?
By: joshuak47. on 13 Nov 08, 08:29:32
donisthabomb1: People choose to eat meat, yes, and it does have protein, but that's not why people eat it. No one is suffering from a protein deficiency. People eat meat because they don't realize that the 5 minutes of eating a burger equals bodily harm, another tree in the amazon being cut down for grazing, and land/water pollution (not to mention a lifetime of suffering for an animal). Elephants don't eat meat, but they are strong. Apes don't really either (our closest relatives).

weirdd but ok..
By: kcchandler. on 12 Nov 08, 22:01:55
Yes, of course, now that you've repeated yourself in all CAPS I see how your point is so well thought out. I wasn't talking about people around the world. Of course abject poverty does not lend itself to choosiness in diet. However, how many people in third world countries can't afford rice, much less meat? I'm not talking about other countries, I'm talking about ours. And I don't feel the need to "bash" meat eaters. Please stop trying to lump all vegans together.
By: donisthabomb1. on 12 Nov 08, 21:44:10
IT IS AN EAT OR BE EATEN WORLD. its easy for you to say that its you have the luxury of choosing your diet from a market. a lot of people around the world arent able to pick their diet.
By: kcchandler. on 12 Nov 08, 18:26:19
It is not an eat or be eaten world because we rarely have to stare down said tigers on an open plain. Also, cows don't eat humans. Neither do chickens. Humans have evolved as omnivores, lions and tigers are carnivores that occasionally eat grains and plants from the stomach of their prey.
By: donisthabomb1. on 12 Nov 08, 03:35:30
well just because you eat plants, doesnt mean you have to eat all plants right? same goes to us we dont have to eat all meat. but we choose to eat both because it tastes good and has proteins. Lions and Tigers eat ALL MEAT DIETS. they seem pretty strong right. its an eat or be eaten world. a lot of you vegans are just lucky enough to pick your own diet that you must bash meat eaters.
By: iamjurell. on 12 Nov 08, 00:25:19
well thats kinda why we have the appendix, because we used to have to eat our meat raw
By: joshuak47. on 11 Nov 08, 22:10:29
trentspencerktm: OK then, to be more imaginative, what should I ask? I asked because I think they are related. The fact that you eat cows but not dogs is arbitrary. In India cows are sacred... in China they use dogs for fur. In Korea they supposedly eat dogs. If you wouldn't eat your friend's dog but you'd eat a dog with no owner, this means that you care about your friend, but not the dog itself. I imagine that most vegetarians would eat meat for survival. That would be natural.
By: joshuak47. on 11 Nov 08, 22:04:28
donisthabomb1: True. The last part of your argument is hard for me to understand though. You seem to suggest that if we've been doing something for a long time, we should continue... can you think of anything bad we've been doing for a long time, and then stopped because of its negative effects? Or, if we found a new, better way to do something, is it not sensible to switch? My point is that history alone does not justify continuing something.
By: trentspencerktm. on 11 Nov 08, 09:50:48
I would eat a wild dog if I had to. Like in a survival situation. Try to be a bit more imaginative then "would you eat your friends dog?" This has nothing to do with me eating cows.
By: donisthabomb1. on 11 Nov 08, 03:22:37
well that depends on what the child is first fed when he starts eating solid foods. we dont eat raw meats, we eat cooked meats. the human body can survive off meat alone. but it can also survive off fruits alone. so its all a personal preference. i just dont understand how u guys can sit there and claim humans arent suppose to eat meat. its a stupid argument. because WE DO EAT MEAT, and always have.
By: joshuak47. on 11 Nov 08, 01:25:59
donsithabomb1: Flawed argument--for two main reasons... 1) if you said a choice of RAW meat or carrots, that would be sensible. 2) by 5 years old they've already been conditioned for a few years. If you changed the point in time to the point at which they begin eating solid foods, you may have an unbiased experiment there!
By: joshuak47. on 11 Nov 08, 01:23:03
trentspancerktm: Please elaborate. Also, would you eat your friend's dog? A wild dog?
