I read about the making of this video in the book I'm reading currently. Steve Shelley had only been in the band I think for about a week and already he had to pretend to be dead! And they're genuine animal intestines apparently. Also, Lee Ranaldo's first child was born on the same day, so after shooting he had to wipe the gore off him and rush to the hospital. Shelley, Ranaldo, Moore and Gordon forever!

Chip Douglas came up with the intro, he said he was inspired by the Beatles "I Want To Tell You" he taught it to Mike who loved it, and it was decided that it would be used for this song. Carol King who wrote the song to be played much slower was not pleased with the intro or the change in tempo when she first heard it. I guess after the royalty checks started coming in she changed her mind about it and even started using it when she perform the song in concert.

I highly recommend this movie. It is one of the best films of 2007. Great performance by Tommy Lee Jones... the story is so sad and powerful and the film captures the true horror of the war in Iraq without even having a single battle scene. The soldier's confession near the end of the film was shocking and so haunting. It's up there with There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men and Into the Wild as one of the best of 2007. ***** / *****

Remember the "Skip" being the first dance I learnt. Danced to this at school disco and attracted a few 5th formers that night, which was brill as I was a 4th former. Even my art teacher commented how good I was. I told her that was the first time I danced in public and she said you would never have known.I made out I wasn't a virgin and told her there are over things I do really well like make coffee etc...Sadly she declined but walked away flattered.

This was filmed in the town that my brother currently lives in and I am 10 minutes away. My niece attended this school for sixth grade. The 'neat' thing about it for me, is that one of my former teachers is from Lebanon, Ohio and he and his family is in the movie at different times. His wife's is too.
