I think that most blacks are afraid of Republicans and anyone else who opposes social programs which were supposedly designed to help so-called minorities. What more disadvantaged persons need are not social programs, but the opportunity to create businesses. I think that there are too many 'hustlers' like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who like to play this card. I think black U.S women are fat for a number of reasons. They do not eat right. I also believe that because of the hairstyles that they chose they are less likely to indulge in sport activities like swimming and jogging etc. Fat has also been instilled in the black culture. If yo are thin then you are seen as unhealthy. I do believe that genetics play a role in black obesity. White women just as black women are prone to be overweight. I think simply saying that black men like plump women begs the question. The bigger question is, why? Research has shown that there is a strong correlation between obesity and poverty. Poverty brings about stress/depression and women of all races tend to respond to stress by excessive eating. With so much obesity blanketed throughout the blk community, the "thick" phenomenon has been used to mask these health detriments.

What an amazing video!! With all my heart, I wish I could have been there. On my lazy street populated by mostly old people, I danced a jig in the street with my 89 y/o neighbor while someone was setting off fireworks on the next street over (it is Pittsburgh! We do fireworks for everything!). After about 15 minutes, a few more people joined us. On the main street, there were hoots and hollers, but nothing like what you have shared with us. Thank you so much for this video- I'll watch it often!
