Ok that was a misunderstanding. The entire time I had Ritchie Jr in my mind for some reason. But i still wouldn't count that because although he wanted him dead that's as far as he got. No attempts were made whatsoever. He contemplated. Two different things completely. If he attempted, he would have been dead a lot sooner. Tony attacked ralph...tony was trying to kill him because of Pie-O-My. Ralph was acting in self defence...I just watched all 6seasons and never saw any indication of ritchie comtemplating to kill tony. I know he had a grudge but if he was what episode was it. I wanna take a look before i delete my downloads. About being horribly informed no opinion is really wrong about the ending. Thats how the director wanted it to end. He wanted everyone to make their own ending in their heads.

Yes, Richie did try to kill Tony. He never pulled a gun on him, or placed an explosive underneath Tony's car. But he was planning the move on him--he was nonetheless ATTEMPTING to kill Tony or have him killed. And the fight with Ralph DOES count--Ralph was TRYING TO KILL Tony. We can sit here all day and talk about how each and everything thing in this scene could be symbolic for something relating to his death or survival. To romeothesioux, Ritchie never tried to kill Tony if your talking about the botched robbery. Tony wasn't even present. Ralph never put a hit out on him either and the fight they had doesnt count. There were more than two attempts on Tony's life: 1) Febby Petrullio; 2) black assassins hired by Junior and Mikey Palmice; 3) Richie Aprile's spoiled plot; 4) Ralph Cifaretto in "Whoever Did This"; 5) Phil Leotardo's assassins in "Blue Comet"; and, arguably, Chris drunkenly rampaging into the Bing. Most everyone thinks the guy headed to the bathroom killed Tony. I think that's too obvious for such a complicated ending. Notice the two guys that came in the front door around scene time 4:04 of this clip. One is seen in plain view looking to his right. The other is an unidentified "Blacked Out" figure wearing some kind of necklace. I believe this is Tony's Grim Reaper aka Assasin. That is IF Tony was killed. It's a genius way left for fans to interpret in their own way. Check the scene.
