Great story Geoffers, at about the same time I was pogoing viciously to Jilted John and collided with a (much) taller friends' elbow as he was going down and me up right at the beginning of the song. I carried on to the end then found out I had a huge gash in my head....so I did get taken home by a teacher with gash....but he was on old deputy head..aaahh school discos!!

Remember the "Skip" being the first dance I learnt. Danced to this at school disco and attracted a few 5th formers that night, which was brill as I was a 4th former. Even my art teacher commented how good I was. I told her that was the first time I danced in public and she said you would never have known.I made out I wasn't a virgin and told her there are over things I do really well like make coffee etc...Sadly she declined but walked away flattered.

I'm a big Green Day fan and i don't mind u2 either. But for those 2 new bands with all that technology the skinds kick ass =D i admit the vocals aren't as great, but listen to the guitars. They rock. Though Green day and u2 had a cool film clip which shows how much more use the military could be of rather than blowing up arabs, though I don't particularly like arabs.

The U2/greenday version is very slick, not surprising since they have lots of money and hi-tech equipment. However,I heard this on the radio the other day, I came into the room at about the 1:20 point on this video where there are no vocals, I knew instantly it wasn't this version as the guitarists were inferior. Just listen to the music (not the vocals) and it is apparent - the Edge (and Greenday), you ain't ever going to be as great guitarists as the brilliant Stuart Adamson!!

Bono is a great musician and a credit to his profession but he'll never be a punk as long as he's got a hole in his arse, once something becomes comercialised and mainstream its not punk any more. The first album i bought was Rattus Norvegicus by the Stranglers when i was 14 my mate borrowed it and i never saw it again now thats a true punk.

Now thats funny cause I had Skids back in 86/87 and I remember he had different guns. The one I had the twin blaster gun and also a strap on rocket launcher that went on his other wrist like you showed Simon. It came with 2 or 3 rockets you could launch and they really traveled well. I wonder if I had an orignal one?
