Well I LIKED the game.Maybe the german speakers are better,i don't know but i really enjoyed them. The storyline is not REALLY innovative, that's right,but well i don't care.The other thing he pointed out, is that you can't like the characters. But that's not the whole truth. The truth is: They don't even like themselves! Kane & Lynch hate eachother the other dudes which you pick up in the prison would also just LOVE to lead a bullet through Kane's head and even his own daughter hates him. Great

All i know is that gamespot is a gamesite that TAKES MONEY to overestimate games that shouldnt be overestimated. they done this many many times .I have played the game and i found gerstmanns comments quite true. Gerstmann was fired because h spoiled the commercials gamespot made, months before the release (does anybody know what price did eidos payd to gamespot for these commercials?) by saying what he believed. Gerstmann is a man who doesnt afraid to say his opinion no matter what the cost.

this Gersten guy must have been rejected by a girl or something because the truth is this is a pretty good game. EVERY FUCKING GAME THESE DAYS HAS ISSUES for christ sakes even COD4 and MGS4 -you could pick on every game for that matter. I actually thought this had a decent story line and was pretty fun to play. ...Its lame to get fired for speaking your mind and its hard to respect or trust reviews from a company that would do such a thing. I think that he was much too hard on this game never the less. Its interesting that given all that K&L has in common with Freedom Fighters (a last gen game for which he had glowing praise) he didn't find more redeeming qualities here. Maybe his hang ups with the characters just sullied his experience so much that all of K&L's flaws were magnified.

I may've never played K&L if not for the controversy. Now that I have I gotta say Jeff was so wrong its sad. Most of the problems mentioned are present but he blows them way out of proportion. Yes its vulgar but not overly so given the context. Yes the mechanics are less polished than some of its contemporaries (its no Gears) but they work well. The overall gameplay is so engrossing the flaws are easy to forgive...
