Walken is a fantastic actor, but it seems to me he can't find the rhythm of this poem, he rushes some sections and doesn't pause when needed, it's all a mess. He sounds like he's doing an impression of William Shatner (Cptn Kirk). I don't believe anyone can deliver Poe like Mr Price.

Well he had a fairly hard life, His father turned his back on him when he was younger, He was an alcoholic, His wife died of tuberculosis which is why alot of his stories had themes of death corruption and blood (especially tales involving blood) such as The Masque Of The Red Death and other tales plus they also had doomed women in them Madelyne Usher, Ligeia, Lenore etc which can all be traced to Poe's loss of Virginia his wife.

Edgar Allen Poe is my favorite writer because of the Dark Romanticism that is in his stories. and also the rhyme scheme of The Raven, it has a very complex scheme. Absolutley one of the best!

No.. but it would definitely be sharing a piece of your soul if you expressed why you did like them (less shallowly) for example.. if you said "because I feel their music expresses who i am.." then I can know a little more about you through your chosen song.
