It absolutely is safe to continue. Our studio's prenatal bellydance class teacher is a medical professional and says as long as you avoid the sharp locks and heavy-duty shimmies, it is totally safe. It actually is beneficial to continue bellydancing while pregnant because it will help the pelvic and abdominal muscles and joints to get ready for giving birth. Also, if you follow an exercise program before getting pregnant, it is terribly UNhealthy to stop it during or just before pregnancy.

Ok,so a newborn infant cant live without the mother either. I have no idea what point you are trying to make a fetus (not a baby) is a parasite living off the woman- I know this sounds harsh but it is true- it is just a mass of cells, that if aborted early in pregnancy, have yet to develop nerves or brain function and therefore cannot feel they are separate entities, but a woman should be able to control what is growing inside her- if you want to have a child, fantastic, but if not, that is your right too
