I have to wonder if he is "truly" blind. There are split brain experiments that show that when a person has their corpus callosum nerve fibers cut, when looking at an object in the opposite eye of their language dominate hemisphere of brain, their is a sort of intuition of what the opposite side is seeing. However it cannot be put into words. I'm sure there is still a bit of neuro-pathways left in his brain. From a scientific and a human perseverance standpoint, this story is incredible.

i make a difference between psychosis and schizophrenia. psychosis usually lasts for roughly about 6 weeks - and may occur only once in a lifetime (usually an indication of a sensitive and creative mind). schizophrenia includes a lot more than just psychosis, the hallucinations, delusions and all that jazz. it comes with many other symptoms depending on the subtype of schizophrenia. ok - i don't mean to be a wise ass, but to me there's a lot of generalization in here.

if you ppl find this interesting have a look at the 'graphamania' work of robert crumb's brother (RC is the cartoonist who did 'ease on down the line' in the 1960's). graphamania is a particular type of schizophrenia (there are about 53 types of schizophrenia). his drawings become amazing as he gets sicker. it was a documentary about robert crumb. 3 brothers..what a screwy family (trust me ... Thanks for your critique. I really appreciate people giving honest opinions about this drawing. It was not meant to be a work of art by any means and truly doesnt have much feeling or style. Although I do have a great respect for photo-realist painters and my work reflects the impact of artists like chuck close and others. This painting is merely a sketch that I did while learning the software. I hope to learn to be much more impressionistic in my approach once i start doing some real pieces.

id say 75% of the speed paintings on youtube are either direct "imitation" from a source picture or almost imitation ( arms or legs may be shifted but otherwise same as source. ) The fact it looks so good without texture (a once over with a spatter brush wouldnt have hurt) is a testimony to the excellent job done.

Haven't heard it in ages, but can't stop listening to it now. Its fexcellent. Where are the other songs like this in the world? The keys are . . . . . . . . . . its a word for exceptionally good and I think it genius the way that they . . . . counterpoint (? not quite sure if that is correct) with the bass.
