Naomi Wolf is wrong about there being "democracy" in Germany. Right after WW1 and right before Hitler Germany was an Oligarchy, not a democracy - very similar to third world countries in South America. This oligarchy created the worst economic depresion in the history of man! The people, desprate, elected the rise of Hitler. Hitler did impose a police state but only persicuted the ethnic Jews. It is sad that she comes close but misses the point. If she thinks that this whole process began or ends with any leader she is forgetting what she herself said about "and by the way this is driven by a profit motive, you know, America isn't driven by ideologies like Germany or Italy were...(27:28-27:35)". I was at the RNC and scarcely avoided being arrested for no reason. A good friend was arrested without cause and her camera was confiscated and the memory card was removed. Her money was also taken from her and not documented. The police were very abusive (holding people for hours and laughing when they piss themselves because they are not allowed to move). That is the scariest thing for me. Police and government need to be held accountable and protest is supposed to be how we do that.

and like I alluded to before, Obama like all presidents has to walk a fine line between what he may want to do in terms of policy which would make progressives happy and not alienating the rest of the country which is not as progressive. The guy with the hat (sorry, dunno his name) made a good point. I loved Religulous, at times I wanted to smack some of the theists in the movie but at other times I felt sorry for them. So many theists are good people & they mean well... unfortunately a lot of people aren't born very bright or very skeptical (it's often genetic) & they are easily taken advantage of by predators like Swaggart or Bush. Models in those days really showed off the clothes and brought life to the catwalk. There was personaility, like a totally different fashion world then. I'm only 22 and I miss those fashion parades: when they were "parades". Models these day are no where near "super" status. the models should watch 80's and early 90's fashion shows to realise what modelling really is. and Designers need to watch to remember what a good show looks like.
