It's actually not a wastegate. HKS didn't integrate a blow-off valve into this setup. The sound of that chattering is caused by the throttle plate closing(when the throttle plate is shut by you taking your foot off of the throttle pedal) and blocking compressed air, which is pushed back into the compressor blades of the turbocharger, since there is no blow-off valve, this is the easiest area that the compressed air finds to escape from. Thus causing the "skipping" sound.

Not necessarily: Hybrid means they have crossbred 2 kinds of tomatoes. The 2 kinds could have been natural or genetically modified. The chance that at least one of the kinds was modified is quite high though, since most of the tomatoes are genetically modified nowadays. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. GM food is often healthier than natural food.

At this point, I don't think it's logical to really argue for or against genetic engineering because we don't have substantial LONG-TERM studies. And whether or not it caused health problems in the case of L-tryptophan does not necessarily mean it's harmful in ALL cases. We really need to conduct some long-term studies before we put too much effort into arguing for or against it.

Well if that's the case then the science behind genetically modified food is wrongfully used by Monsanto, but that doesn't mean genetically modified crops are bad. Those would be biased ;) Pubmed would be a place where you can find reliable results, it's used by most (medical) scientists to find references. GM food CAN be less healthy if you add a gene which creates a toxic protein, but doing such a thing makes no sense. Then again, even some natural fruits have proteins which are toxic. So far scientists have only added genes which improve our food, by making it more resistant to pests or by improving it's ingredients (golden rice & purple tomatoes).

He used GE T64 Turbines. As for the "flames" you see when he is going down the track there is actually quite a amusing story behind it. In the old days of tractor pulling, the turbine tractors had to have stacks (exhaust pipes). That were tapered, because people thought turbines made more down force than piston motors. Well Art proved them wrong on paper, and once they removed the rule about the stacks being tapered, he made the tractor you see.

Read the label. Do not buy Wheat, corn, soy, or Canola products. This reduces the sales of big corporate, that reduces the sales of GMO's, then Monsanto cannot lie so easily about their toxic food. One of the things we can do to stop Monsanto is to spread the word and help to educate others about GMO. I truly believe if more folks understood the dangers involved with GMO contaminating our food source, they would take action.

I thought about this before homersparents, but I don't know if the actuation of the lever will interfere rotation of the main drive since magnets are used for both. What I mean is, the stator magnet would have to have an advantage over the actuator magnet, otherwise it would stall. Who knows...

Could the wheel power the lever? How much energy is going into the lever? Best way to test if it's over unity is can it power itself. Can wheels energy power some mechanism to move the leaver?
