This is liberal propaganda! Steve McQueen did not die from lung cancer or any other tobacco related illness. McQueen died from cardiac arrest, a complication from surgery surgery (a medical method in Mexico not approved by the FDA), to remove a tumor caused by asbestos exposure. He was probably exposed to asbestos during his service in the U.S. Marine Corps or working with cars. If you don't smoke, don't start ,if you do smoke quite! At that time so many celebraties were doing smoking commercials just like this. Just these type of one person spots where they tell you how cigarettes would solve all your problems. This was well before the public knew about the awful effects of smoking. I don't know what the cause of Steve McQueen's cancer was. But Steve was an excellent actor. He is missed.

Nobody ever claimed McQueen smoked. We don't even see him inhale in this commercial! For years he ran 5 miles a day and was very active, I have doubts he smoked, but regardless he didn't die from lung cancer.

When Paul Newman (one of my favourites) recently died, people mourned around the world the death of a legend. But with McQueen, there seems to be less recognition. Am I the only one who thinnks this? i agree that the shapes are reminiscent of balenciaga s/s 08 and i think the fugue of prints (and the color blue for me, especially) drives that home - it's quite a literal likeness. but i'm still in awe of the transparent theme...the inserts are amazing.

Haute Couture basically just means French clothes made by hand at few privileged fashion houses. But as you know Couture fashion shows and clothes have become very dramatic and arty(think Galliano for Dior, Gaultier etc.), and that's why I said Erin is couture because she's not just a wholesome mannequin doll that moves. She becomes a character and moves dramatically etc. as you can see on this video(in the red dress and in the dark lighting after it).
