i noticed that you cooked the garbanzo beans, and then you added it to the 'gravy' (i.e. the tomato/onion/spice mixture). why is this? i would think that if you pressure cook all the ingredients, that they would absorb far more better. another question, could you have eliminated the chana masala, and instead, use ONLY garam masala, but add more lemon juice at the end?

nice recipe. but i add the garam masala last because it burns easily and turns bitter tasting. i also recommend making your ow ngarlic and ginger paste from scratch. and you should add salt right when starting the tomatoes to boil it helps soften them. and you should add chili powder before adding water. and i have never heard of adding butter to a bean dish but it sounds good.

i thought it was a good change from the adnan sami version and only raja can pull it off. raja gave it a sukhvinder/kailash twist to the song. and the performance was rocking as usual, hereally knows how to pump up the crowd. amanat is a better singer, even though his tu cheez badi hai mast mast was very good it was boring. raja has the x factor
