I have to agree, I love console gaming because it's great to have a dedicated platform. Also, games run much better on consoles (naturally). Only thing I don't do on consoles is FPS.

I'm so sick of hearing the redundant 'macs can't play games' argument. It's a computer, not a gaming console. If I want to play a game, I will buy a machine that has the sole purpose of being a gaming platform. EA is starting to release many of its games for mac. What will the new PC argument become when games are fully supported? ' my PC can run Windows Media Player!' Or perhaps it'd be 'The mac games are more expensive, therefore mac sucks!!!!' I just wanted to add that I don't know how familiar you are with UED3 but it has a full scripting language called UnrealScript which you can use for game modding etc.. but I imagine can be extended to do other atypical things as well as a 'visual programming' tool called Kismet. Something akin to Maya's visual workflow editor.

Yes it is not free. However to me paying 50 bucks for a must have game makes it almost too good to be true. Especially considering how much more can be done with UED3. Its really like saying (and pardon me for the game analogies) but why pay for and play Crysis when I can get Kuma war for free?

I'm not arguing about how long it takes to do something... but comparing the 'quartz' composer to UED3 is like comparing MS front page to a strong working HTML/CSS knowledge + notepad. UED3 is not built like 99% of mac apps to do 'cool media things' in brief amounts of time... UED3 is a development suite built by the same world-class developers who make world-class games.
