Your ignorant opinion about it aside, Apple had the Dock patented. So I am sure they would have "copied" the dock if they could have. But that did not stop from "copying" the LOOK of the OSX desktop by creating the "sidebar" which gives you the same design of icons down the side of the screen without actually infringing on their patent. Very clever actually but yet still very pathetic!

In fact, I have Vista on a desktop and a laptop. Windows is supposed to be user-friendly, yet I constantly find myself trying to fix it for the person to whom it belongs: we even needed to re-install Windows because it soon became unresponsive. After that - well, I obviously installed any number of open-source applications and anti-virus, just to make certain it didn't happen again. Did the same on the desktop just so I didn't have to go through the trouble a second time!

Come on, be realistic. Even ls is better then dir! Unix command line: Can run any program installed (all programs are stored/linked in one of the $PATH directories); Can give output for what a program is doing, which can be invaluable for debugging crashes (Something Windows NEVER does); Can do a variety of tasks without leaving the command line, such as downloading files, installing programs, desktop searches - even order pizza, for crying out loud! And I'm not bullshiting. I DO have vista.

There are some points that need to be outlined about this video. 1. You can't buy a computer and expect it to come bundled with everything you're ever going to need. Unless you only ever check emails or surf the web, you're not going to get everything with Mac. You need extra software. 2. Not as much software is created for Mac. This is sadly true, freeware, shareware, open source and closed source software is more abundant for the PC. Any download site offers less Mac software/games than PC.

Bought my Vaio first, then Macbook later this year. I tell you, I made a big mistake. Macbook is goodlooking machine, nothing more. Functionality, screen, keyboard layout..all far worse than a laptop PC. Must install Windows on my Mac but it's just OK, nothing greater than my Vaio. If you have been always using Macbook, then Macbook is OK. If you are PC user first, do not move to Macbook, 'cause it's incomparable to PC. Apple is very good at gimmick making and giving.

OSX is massively superior to any version of Windows that exists as of yet, and it is superior in nearly every way, from the well engineered GUI to the solid unix core. OSX will never have a virus problem, because it's designed from the ground up for security. Vista tried to be more secure, but the apps weren't made for a secure OS, and the end users only ended up inconvenienced. ~posted from my Ubuntu Dell (8.10)

You may want to look again about the graphics card even mac says the 8600gt has more power. 2.5ghz intel core duo 8600gt has more power then 9400 its newer but not better 45% more power and that IS coming from Mac 4gb of ram 320gb hard drive DVD burner blue tooth and turbo button to make it even faster cost $1207.99

And he also gave us one of the funniest, most brilliant sitcoms of all time, The Bernie Mac Show.
