An extremely poor effort on the organizer's behalf - why would they use middle eastern refs for a Kuwait game. I've played a junior Korean team at the Youth World Champs in Bahrain, and they are a force to be reckoned with. Korea would have EASILY won this game with some HALF-DECENT referees.

yeah, not the best episode, but it is more like korea through the narrative of nari, not bourdain, and i suppose that is the point and what is lacking. it would have been more fun to see modern restaurants and talk to people who are very passionate about cooking and where the food is headed, like he does in other episodes. i wish they showed samgaetang or agujim or sunduboo, my personal favorites, mmm. maybe next time ;D

In Nari's defense, this show was secondary to her homecoming. They went because she wanted to go back to Korea, and she dragged Tony and the show with her. A nice thing for them to do, and it gave us a show set in Korea. Maybe someday they'll go back and do something more intensively Korean. People who are down on Nari for being a bad guide tho, or the show for just "covering the basics" are missing the point. It's entertainment, it's fun, and it's Tony doing something nice with, and for, Nari.
