nope. he was mediocre at that and at acting, and that is what attracted him to scientology. real forward thinking creative people can't be duped by cults, I'm sorry. he was never a great skater, just had a lot of personality and energy in the videos, and that got him some fame. as I said, there is a reason why a lot of his contemporaries kept skating and pushing the envelope, and he went on to acting in alvin and the chipmunks.

That's another aspect of this story that annoys me, if he was a decent hard-working player why didn't he get to play a bit more, and why is the coach viewed as one of the "minor heros" of this story for putting the tard in, I would think the coach should be criticized for only allowing J-Mac to play this one time in the last game. There's good and bad everywhere and all it takes is a few bad apples to infiltrate and group to give it a bad rep. I have say i agree. Neo-clasical is the way to go for shred guitarist. speed metal is really not that melodic and the phrasing gets repetitive. But you most be a guitar Virtuoso in order to play neo-clasical electric guitar only 1 in million get to this level (jason)

Don't confuse the fact you don't appreciate his expressive techniques with a lack of emotion on his end, because some people do feel his emotion. You seem to like Dream Theater; I'm generally unmoved by their music and by Petrucci's playing, that doesn't mean he doesn't play with emotion.
