The figures are staggering. Loans of 12 times the nation's GDP?! This shows how dangerous cheap credit is. Credit stimulates consumption, which determines higher wages, and with higher wages come even more loans, and the cycle repeats itself. Banks feel safe, businesses feel safe, consumers feel safe until the boogeyman shows up with the bill. Most if the Icelandic ppl are decendants from Vikings coming from Norway...Icelandic is the real language of Norway, unaffected of German, Danish or other languages :) I do understand many words in Icelandic because it's very similar to some Norwegian dialects

Yeah, we learn it, but noone would speak it that well without having lived in some scandinavian country. Even if the tv crew came from norway/sweden/denmark. An exception would be lder people.
