For those that don't know, David is a great player, a great teacher, and a very cool guy. If you have an opportunity to drum with him or take a lesson, it's well worth your time. I picked up the instructional DVD's from the website and they are high quality productions with slow-motion clips, great audio, and articulate direction with notation as well. Highly recommended!

it's good that you are being very particular with your grip coz it has a huge bearing on how much power you can generate , how much spin you can put on the ball and how high the ball will fly.gripping it in your fingers is the key.

The line marked on the grip is at the point where the pinky finger meets the palm. Another grip video has the mark further in to the palm (by about 2cm). Which is correct? He appears to be gripping it like the latter in this video!!

Just got back from the range after watching this...wow! I was slicing and fading with occasional fat shots and getting gvery frustrated. I discovered the right hand's grip is probably THE most important element of getting the clubface to roll over correctly. Overlap the right-hand pinky over the left-hand ring finger is important too (was interlocking way too high with my right). Gained 10 yds and lift with each club and even had one guy take a break and watch ME (I'm a 100+ golfer).

Well the sox have a roster full of club house guys.That doesn't mean a pile of crap if they can't win.Bay will be ok and he was the best they could have done.I would have prefered vernon wells or grady sizemore but they weren't available. i think the quickswing is a nice piece of equipment, but why pay $100 for it? same with all these other hitting products... you could easily build the same thing for a fraction of the cost and itd take you less time than overnight shipping. just my opinion.

club face square becuase you rotate your body. I basically just keep my left wrist flat and keep acceralating through impact. The wrist will unhinge automatically and properly with your body rotation. Just don't put any tension in your hands and arms. If you hit it fat, turn body a bit faster through impact zone (or pull your hand down a bit softer). If you hit it thin, try pull your hand down a bit harder, or slower your body turn. Just my personal fix.

Don't you think the turning of the body creates the release? I would hit a wicked hook if I rotated my hands at and through impact like that. I swing more connected and let the turning of my body (and more importantly shoulders) square my clubface and not my hands and wrists.

I've gotta disagree, even if their at their prime right now, they wouldn't able to compete with the players these days..Why? Lack of Talent? No, of course not, but its the training method from the 80's, its too different from the training method today. Today's training are more intense, and the evolution of technique over these two decades also effects the result of the game. So if you compare the games from the 80s and today, today's games are faster, and the shots are harder.

what a great musician. even though he lost a finger, it didn't discourage him. his finger picking is still great, just different, not to mention that his left hand is incredible. can any one tell how much delay that is during the first half. I'm guessing about 3 and a half seconds... anyone?

I doubt it, this is for pots, your problem is the current changing from positions, you may want to get a new 5 way switch (20 minuet project if you can solder well) just map out what wire goes to what position (draw it out and/or take plenty of close up pictures) good luck :)

humbuckers = dark sound. So you use 500k pots to give you brighter sound for humbuckers. Single coil = bright sound. You use 250k for single coil to avoid excessive brightness.

Great instruction in practical guitar electronics. However, you forgot to test the pots (for scratch) before reassembling the guitar. It can be very annoying to have to take it apart again if a pot needs some extra attention. Especially if you put new strings on.

I'm a confused beginner lady golfer. I use the interlocking grip and I know I feel stronger with my right arm controlling my action in hitting the golf ball. Should I convert to the overlapping grip and think more along the lines of swinging the golf club to hit the ball?

Steve, Last time I checked you are backwards. In your video you have your hands in your "hook position" which actually promotes a fade by not allowing the hands and arms to rotate at impact to square or slightly closed. Same with "your fade" grip, this grip promotes a hook! If you do have the grip to strong you may push the ball, but your fade grip definitely promotes a hook. I mean last time I read the PGA Teaching Manual it did.
