I've watched dressage for a number of years, and this is quite possibly the best performance I've ever seen. Pegasus is right - this mare has been treated with gentle guidance, love and respect. It's obvious to anybody that she performs because she loves it. The spirit and grace exuding from Matinee brings tears to my eyes every time I see her.

To caswombat....This rider DOES NOT get results by "domination, pushing, pulling and restraining". It takes many years for a horse to reach Grand Prix level and this mare has had patient and careful handling with no gadgets or gimmicks. This test is the ultimate in finesse and harmony between horse and rider. The fact that she is relaxed and enjoying herself should tell you she performs because she is asked, not forced. If she was trained as you say, she wouldn't be at the top of the sport.

The only thing I don't like is how he gets these results, english riding is all about domination, pushing, pulling and restraining until it looks like what you want. I prefer finesse as opposed to old english dressage, it's more kind to the horse and you get the same results, with the added bonus that you know they're doing what you ask because they want to, not because you've got so many gadgets they have no other choice.
