Most of these "Rappers" if you can call them that are in this for the money. They dont care about anything else but that. And theyre trying to capture the image of a thug by dressing like one. The whole concept of just rapping about life and its struggles back in the day just cant compare into what hip hop is starting to become, just talking about money, what kind of girls they can get and everything. Its more public and being a "Gangsta" but having the money to back it up with their cars and clothes and everything. That's not what I mean. I'm well aware of the talent that still exists, and I think you confuse what is meant by dead. I mean that the concept of it is broken; it is no longer directed at the initial core audience, but now its focused at the entire public. As such, simpleton artists flourish while talent is left to struggle for deals and ultimately be censored out with monopoly.
