this generation of music is really fucked up now. i'm so glad that my dad was a classic rock fan. i grew up in the 90's listening to this all the time because of him. pink floyd DSOTM has probably the best most inspirational and emotional album i've ever bought because i bought it after my dad lost custody of me and my siblings and i hadn't listened to this album for about 5 years and when i finally bought the album and played it on my cd, tears rolled down my cheeks. pink floyd ftw.

I didn't say a thing about JP, the comment was addressed to the idea that showing off is the way to be a good musician. Any moron can tell that isn't the case. The vast majority of this song isn't showing off at all now is it? And its a good song, with a wide possible audience. There would be no Pink Floyd without Syd Barret, he layed down the framework of what the band could and would do. But poor Syd fell by the wayside and instead of letting it all fall apart, they took that framework and turned it into what it was suppose to be. David Gilmore, who could hate on him. The mans a true artist who knew the potential of Floyd, and not only understood it but made it better. I love and admire all the bands members because their all musicians. For all I like Roger best!
