Many like to refer to Hip-Hop as the politically conscious aspect of "rap", while rap, itself, is plain rap (i.e. more of the low-key rappers). With that said, you can't say you like Hip-Hop but don't like rap (whateva that means). If you don't like rap, then what do those MCs do? They RAP, which in turn, makes your statement contradictory. That's like saying you like apples but don't like fruits. Just my two cents:)

Rap is what you do, it's not what you like. It's an action, therefore it's not something "tangible" (for a lack of a better term). You rap, but you never like rap; the correct term, in my opinion, is I like "To RAP", which then, turns it into a verb - or if you're trying to refer to the music, then, you say "Rap Music", as opposed to solely "rap." Hip-Hop, as a result, is the culture, while RAPPING is the action executed by the MCs (one of the elements of the culture).

My own take on it and what I've always believed to make a great deal of sense (objections are always welcome): Hip-Hop is a culture, consisting of four sub-units that include MC-ing, DJ-ing, graffiti, and B-boy/B-girl-ing. When you say you like Hip-Hop, that translates into you liking some or all of those aforementioned units. Rap, on the other hand, is what you do. It's a verb, synonymous with "spittin'", meaning you are rhyming, as in poetry in motion.

Actually, the Clone Wars was very much explained in the prequels (if you paid attention). Since Palpatine was playing the leader of both factions, he was easily able to shut down the CIS once the Republic formed into the Empire.

But I don't know, I guess you're right about the other ones but still it's all a bit sketchy. Just the newer movies were way too new-agey and futuristic, going against Lucas's original idea for Star Wars as everything being "used" and realistic. But I actually think that's kind of cool, the empire's rule causing the galaxy to go under a "dark age".

I could try (major SW geek). Luke and Leia, is was a god damn kiss and they didn't know back then. Yoda trains Luke at his age because Luke could end it all and revive the Jedi. Besides, circumstances. It was a different time pre-Galactic Empire. Sifo-Dyas's character is horribly underdeveloped, I'll give you that. Yoda is the head of the council... so what? so explain why luke makes out with his sister in "empire strikes back." and yoda trains luke at over 18 but says anakin is too old at 9. and the whole clone thing didn't fit at all. master sifo-diyas has no backstory at all, but is probably the most important character in the trilogy. and obi-wan apparently trained under yoda- then why is yoda head of the jedi council at that point, and he's qui-gon's padawan? how can you even say you disagree.

I think guaindi is right. The music at 4:27 onward is foreboding even though the scene itself is relatively "peaceful" and brightly lit. The scene shows Palpatine acting really concerned for Padme's and the Republic's safety, which is ironic considering his actual identity. If you read about John Williams' music for Star Wars, you'll see that he makes many musical motifs ranging in description from specific people (i.e. vader; leia) to more abstract themes (i.e. the force).

but there are still many plot holes, and things that dont make sense in the originals with the prequels as they are. i know the diehard fanboys would go crazy if he remade them, and thats the main reason it wont happen, but i think the original star wars movies are in a league of their own, and you cant tell me that you can watch the fight at the end of ep3, then watch the fight at the end of ep4 straight after? it just doesnt make any sense. the jedi are much tougher in the prequels

in some ways i agree with you but in others i disgree i lie how lucas greated a very nice viewing of his universe in the prequels and great saber fight and much deeper emotional plot but if he did remake them it will just ruining the whole idea of the prequels combining to the original ep3 It might get the old folks angry because i know they would hate if lucas redid the originals

i know he wont, but i think he should. the prequels stand seperate from the originals. not to take away from the magic of the originals, but the prequels are far more watchable today. like war of the worlds; as bad as the tom cruise one is, its far easier to watch than the original, right? the originals are better, but very dated. this is why it would be a good idea to remake them. leave the original trilogy as a stand alone trilogy, and make a six part story with some new movies
