I think everyone eats the cake also, but if its bad, just grab another glass of champagne. Nothing worse than seeing a bunch of not eaten plates of cake though. Great video, I wish there was more detail, it was quickly mentioned sugar and water at one point? Ill have to watch again.

I like working with fondant and marzipan. Fondant is nicer looking because it's white and it's easier to color it too, but marzipan (off white) is so much yummier! Fondant is just a sugar paste, while marzipan is almond paste. I love it! My wedding cake was covered with marzipan!

Most brides I've talked to don't like rolled fondant. It tastes like sweet pie crust, and it dulls the edges of cake (unless it's pound cake), and it is EXPENSIVE, and a pain in the assparagus to do on a 16" round cake.
