The only band member from the studio version is Schenker. And yes Schenker is a musical genius and remembers exactly how it goes. Besides it like a 4 minute insane solo. Nearly impossible to recreate exactly live like the album. This is close though.

Stick with the original recording if you want to hear it the same. A live version is great because it is not necessarily (if ever) the same. You can hear different quirks, ideas, etc mixed into the original that may or may not work to your liking. Either way its great, I love improv and love what live offers. Also, hard for the song to be same when different musicians are playing it (only Schenker is original musician on recording).

This movie relates to the story of the Odyssey in multiple ways. First off, the main character of George clooney's name is Everett Ulysses. Ulysses is the Latin form of Odysseus. Secondly, Everett is being held prisoner by the law, and Odysseus was being held prisoner (of sorts) by Calypso, the sea nymph. This is a good version and, admittedly it's 35+ years since the album, but let's all be serious, the album version is WAAAAAYY better. This sounds like a cover in a bar in Myrtle Beach. Derek and the Domino's were THE best 70's live fast/drug hard band and their music reflected that, as did their horrendous live show and abbreviated time together. If you liked this version, you should listen to D and the D'd again and hear the passion!
