ah fanboys..."heaven forbid my precious indie band have mainstream influences!" come on guys. i expected a little more maturity and open-mindedness out of MBV fans. Melodically speaking the intro is a little reminiscent of the "With or W/O You" intro, albeit in a different key and tempo. not to mention the edge was one of the first mainstream guitarists to really push that delayed guitar sound into the sonic consciousness.

I agree actually. But Kurt Cobain admitted himself, if it wasn't for The Pixies Nirvana would've never came to be. Kurt Cobain listened to all these guys. A lot of the orginators of Grunge or Alternative music didn't reap the benefits that followed in the early 90's since many of them disbanded shortly before. Either way; Nirvana, Pixies, and My Bloody Valentine are all great mind numbing music.

I liked it except for when Saul gets hit by a tractor trailer. It wasn't believable enough for me and I think it detracted from the overall message. However, I still enjoyed the work and empathize with the message.

Saul took this song and the idea that it made U2 lots of money and turned it on its head by depicting a series of modern day absurdities in western society.
