he did and I just recently swapped my apogee gt (not gtx) for the fuzion v2 and my temps dropped 8C which is quite a large drop (load temp) well worth it and the mounting is amazing. Just a nice metal pad on the back of your motherboard and some simple pre installed screws and your done

Ouzoman...thanks for the comments, all the waterblocks evaluated here were installed using the supplied manufacturer mounts the only exception was the Danger Den TDX where I used a backing plate to stop the Motherboard flexing. Each waterblock was blasted under load with Cinebench a total of 10 times in a 15 min window. The results you see here are the best runs out of each block. I should of stated that in the video. Coolant Temp for each test was 16'C and Ambient temp was a steady 73'F.

properly?every mount, is inconsistent. there is no way to replicate a mount.you have to do at least a few and average the results.. 51 seconds of load on cinebench is nothing.testing should be done for at least half an hour of Prime95, whilst logging the ambient, water and cpu temperatures im sorry to say this but this is more of a component showoff than a good test

If you are going to post fraps videos on the net you will need to compress them because they are ''VERRY'' big (if you don't have any video compressing programs, Windows Movie Maker will do just fine).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my QUAD core system/4 gigs/8800 gts 320 o/c system to not studder or have a slight delay WHILE I use fraps? When I record some COD4 gameplay..."cod4" only..the game play seems to be a little slower. Is there a setting in fraps i'm overlooking? I.e FPS? possibly interfering with bandwidth in the system? OK, so I looked into it and I'm not quite sure what the problem can be...but! Two things come to my mind: 1. if the program/game that you are recording is without open GL or directX than it's not supported; and 2. if you are running Windows-newer versions of fraps (2.9.0 and above) are much more compatible in Vista then previous Windows versions.

The performance on a graphic card depends on your other PC components. The CPU, the memory and the harddrive can slow down the graphic card if they aren't good enough. If you check other reviews like maxishine's or tiger direct's they get about 20 frames on 1920x1200 on very high with this graphic card. If one buys a high end graphic card, make sure you have a CPU like the Q6600 or Phenom 9750 and 4 gigs of DDR2 800+ ram in order to achieve the high performance of the new generations.

Games run slower in Vista, this is due to Vista using more resources than XP does. And while the fact it can use your system RAM for the graphics, for me, in XP, my 8600GTS XXX is 256MB, about 256MB used for XP, so 768MB is left. Though in Vista, my GPU has 501MB, and cos Vista uses about 512MB, that only leaves 256MB left. So you need at least 512MB more RAM for Vista than XP to get the same performance in games, and on top of that, Vista uses more CPU. So Yes, games will be slower in bista.

thanks man, I wasn't sure, as I used to run two 6600GT's in sli, and back then it had to be the EXACT same cards, I thought that they had sorted this out to let you run two cards from different manufacturers, but I just wanted to make sure, I plan to drop another 8800GTX into my machine soon, i dont see the point in going for any of the current 9 series cards, I think if I run two 8800GTX's in SLI it will probably be just as good if not better than the current 9 series cards,

since forceware 96 something (maybe even earlier) you've been able to do this. if you read some sli reviews quite often they use two cards from different manufacturers.

Scratch that last message, I seen at that start of the video that you are using the default 1280 x 1024 resolution to run this benchmark, great score all the same... I was wondering, do you know if it is possible to run two 8800GTX card that are from different manufacturers, like 1 card being from Asus, and the other from BFG? My highest score is 10225, and that was on an AMD 939 4200+ x2 cpu O/Ced to 2.8ghz, I have a single 8800GTX, I now have AM2 CPU/mobo and can only get a score of 9980 :(

EVGA has a lifetime warranty and excellent customer service. That is worth a couple extra dollars to me. You never know how long you have to use the card and it is nice to know you will be taken care of if it goes bad or something. Thats just me though.

Check out the Apple site; they mention 3D rendering, medical imaging, professional photography, etc. Any freaking iMac with a 20" screen can run Windows games with Boot Camp. Okay, let me teach you something. Not being mean, but let me teach you something you probably don't know. While an 8 Mac Pro might sound nice, it won't perform twice as well. Slower memory access will offset a lot of that gain. To be fair, larger caches are put in place to try & hide the slow access to system memory, but it won't be enough. Not at all.
