you did a great job with this video, but there are a few things you left out. whitening the eye outside of the iris really helps make the color pop as well, easily done by adding a new layer and set on a color blending mode, and filling the eye, excluding the iris, with white also, my only real bone to pick would be that you re-created the reflection using a round white brush. make a selection from the original, or get even fancier and use a small image for better results.

The only real "cool factor" in this effect is that it is done in real time. Considering the amount of data to be processed and bandwidth latency, I'd say its decent at best. For delays in the 0.5-1sec range in satellite transmissions, its ok. When you do it inside two studios next to each other, connected over fiber, you can do more stuff, because there are not bandwidth and render restrictions, so you can achieve more realism, like less artifacts, some shadows, reflections, virtual floor, etc.

They create a virtual cube inside the studio, and then match the coordinates with the ones of the Bluescreen studio. The motion control software moves the cameras to do the matchmoving and keep the perspective. nothing really fancy. Hollywood does this for years. In fact CNN's is CRAPPY. Many TV virtual studio setups do it better without artifacts, and almost 10 years ago. Believe it or not, you can do the same with a fast computer, a hi-res cam, proper lights and the software. Poor execution.

I have viewed numerous light shows, and this this light show is my favorite. From the music arrangement to the strobes and the spot lights...very well executed. I really enjoyed how they changed from upbeat xmas music to a slow ballet and back to tradional xmas music. Love the Christmas star on the xmas tree...where did you pick that up?
