Allan5366, Doing your best is what makes DND Fun. I'm the DM at a table of 4 (myself included) ADD feuled guys who hardly understand the rules. One fiasco involved the adventurers breaking into the kings stable and stealing all there horses, while the drow elf knifed the gatekeeper, than jumped onto the other two adventurers horses while they were plowing through the entire royal army............ Rather than bitching about how illegal that was, i laughed and game them all 400 exp.

Downside of D&D is that you sort of need someone who already knows how it works to run at least a couple games. Most towns have comic shops that would at least know a few people who run games, alternatively, you could just get ahold of the rules, a few friends (best is one DM and 2-4 players to learn, but whatever) and just do your best. There are custom modules made to learn with. Not as good imo, but it can be a lot of fun. One word of advice: AVOID 4th ED! That said, I'm probably prejudiced.

i just found it funny how the parody was so accurate from beginning to end. all the way from how outsiders and hardcore religionists see d n d players as satanists. but the real session is just like that. when i used to run d n d i could never get any player to be totally serious. on top of that i am furious with 4th edition. you got 10 million cool ways to interact in combat situations, and it just throws out the roleplaying and other interactions. what can i say? i like story and theme.

I don't know, but I think I would have gotten along better with this group than my old group. Male DM who hated male-players because they were "unsophistocated hack and slashers" and would only game with girls. He had us fill out a three page character sheet, got angry if we didn't give detailed descriptions of appearance, and insisted we answer questions like "What does you character think about sex" and "What turns them on." He, of course, played all the NPCs. ~~ Valnatron

Well i am very glad you are willing to understand :) And yes you are 100% right when it comes to the Master System because now that i look back it certainly was a boring system. Sonic the Hedgehog certainly was BIG news over here for a while and a friend of mine had both a Megadrive/Genesis as well as a C64 and although i was VERY impressed with Sonic ( mostly its scroll speed ) i still stuck with my Commodore machines and at that time i had just bought an Amiga.

Hum, I did not know that. Fun to learn learn things! Be glad you didn't get the Sega Master System. Aside from a couple of games, it was a pretty boring system. Sega didn't pick up until Sega Genesis w/ Sonic the Hedgehog, business-wise at least.

what a game. The suspense of running around a base filled with aliens each one looking to pick ur ppl off one by one was incredible. The music when ur in game really keeps you on edge and amazingly still does to this day. If your gonna play this make sure you look for the map online it really helps. I still aint completed it :(

This music actually sucks. Why? I remember seeing this game on the Amstrad CPC, and this is the title music. There was a different tune playing in-game, and it was very eerie and scary, but it's not present in this video. I also wonder why they omitted Hudson from the game ... game over man!

This game is really hard to complete. There are 2 rooms you need to keep clear of growth or the lights go out. Problem is both rooms are miles away from Queen chamber and each other. If you send only 1 guy to each room its really difficult to keep both alive. If you send 2 to each that only leaves you with 2 guys to attack queen chamber which is ridiculously difficult. This way my attempt to quickly raid the queen chamber with all of my guys but I wasn't quick enough.
